UPDATED NOTICE (May 19): As per the notice received from the Ministry of Education's Private School's Office, private schools shall remain closed until May 29th, at which point the closure may be extended. We are still operating online and trying our best to respond to the school community's concerns. Please e-mail us at academyofexcellence1@yahoo.ca if you have any questions.

UPDATED NOTICE (April 13): As per the notice received from the Ministry of Education's Private School's Office, private schools shall remain closed until April 23rd, at which point the closure may be reconsidered and extended. We are still operating online and trying our best to respond to the school community's concerns. Please do e-mail us at academyofexcellence1@yahoo.ca if you have any questions.

UPDATED ALERT (April 6): Public schools have been closed until May 4th 2020 and Private schools until April 13th 2020 (private schools can only be closed for 14-day periods, and there is a high possibility that these closures will continue to be extended for the foreseeable future). Students that were previously registered are being contacted by school staff to  discuss options moving forward. Please reach us by e-mail at academyofexcellence1@yahoo.ca for further questions or inquiries. 

Please note these closures only relate to the physical location of schools; we have put measures into place to ensure the continuation of essential operations.

GENERAL ALERT (March 13): The decision to extend our school's annual March Break holiday from the week of March 30th to April 3rd is based on advice from Ontario's Chief Medical Officer of Health. Academy of Excellence, along with all Ontario public schools have taken precautionary measures in order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus among students and teachers. 


*****OSSLT NOTICE*****


The 2019-2020 Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) that was due to take place on March 31, 2020 has been CANCELLED. As completion of the literacy component is a mandatory requirement for all students working towards an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), this component has been WAIVED for students graduating this year due to the unique challenges being faced by schools and students during this difficult time.
